Register of Scheduled Activity Premises
|
IMPORTANT INFORMATION The Essential Services Commission (the commission) maintains a Register of Scheduled Activity Premises (the Register) under the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Regulations 2018 (VEET Regulations). This Register is intended to provide accredited businesses under the VEU program (accredited persons) and relevant entities with information on whether premises are scheduled activity premises (SAP) and the premises’ current status under the VEU program. For an explanation of what each status means and how it affects your obligations under the VEET scheme, please refer to the Large Energy Users’ Scheduled Activity Premises Guide. The list of SAP addresses included in the Register is based on:
- the addresses for premises listed in the VEET Regulations,
- the addresses for premises listed in the register maintained by the Environment Protection Authority under section 26G of the Environment Protection Act 1970 (Vic) for the purposes of the Environment and Resource Efficiency Plans (EREP) program,
- the addresses submitted by relevant entities as part of their scheme acquisition exemption claims in respect of their 2015 and 2016 annual energy acquisition statements pursuant to regulation 12(2) of the VEET Regulations.
However, because the EREP is a legacy program it has not been possible for the commission to ascertain with complete confidence the specific address details of all premises which were previously participants of the EREP program. Accordingly, while every effort has been made to ensure that the Register is free from error, the use of the Register is entirely at the user's risk and users should take all relevant precautions to protect against loss or damage arising from their use of the Register. To the maximum extent permitted by law: - the commission makes no representation and gives no warranty of any kind to users, whether express or implied, as to the accuracy, relevance, completeness, currency, authenticity, reliability or fitness for purpose of the Register,
- the commission’s liability to a user for any loss, damage, cost or expense (whether direct or indirect) resulting from use of the Register or any action taken or reliance made by a user on the Register (including where such loss, damage, cost or expense is due to the negligence of the commission, its officers, employees or agents) is entirely excluded.
Those accessing the Register are responsible for making their own assessment of the information and for verifying such information. It is the responsibility of the accredited person to ascertain whether or not a premise is a scheduled activity premises from the occupier of the premises prior to undertaking a prescribed activity at those premises under the VEU program. All information on the Register is subject to change without notice. If you are aware of any inaccuracies in the details of premises listed on the Register, please contact us on veu@esc.vic.gov.au.
